1 The Great Barrier Reef, Australia
There is still so much about our oceans that we don’t know, but there is one spot on this planet we can all check out. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the finest collections of coral life on the planet, and it spans over 1,400 miles.
People from all over the world come here every year to check out the extravagant marine life that thrives here. The reef is so large it can even be seen from space, and is deservedly considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
2 Venice, Italy
The water canal streets of Venice are something that has to be experienced to understand how unique this Italian city is. Many couples take romantic trips to Venice for gondola rides through the city, but there’s more to this place than romance.
We are all so used to getting around by roads that Venice offers an experience that is almost alien to the majority of us. Some reports claim that Venice is actually sinking, so it must be seen sooner rather than later, or else it’ll be a scuba diving tour you take instead of a gondola.
3 Yellowstone National Park, USA
There is so much more to the United States than meets the eye. The landscape across all of the Americas is something amazing to behold, but Yellowstone National Park puts you right in the middle of it all.
You are surrounded by nature in this vast park, where you can spot some of the United States’ most famous animals such as bears, buffalo, and even wolves if you are lucky. Besides the wildlife, there are hot springs and geysers that look so inviting, but really shouldn’t be touched.
4 Great Wall of China, China
Anytime someone builds a structure that can be seen from space it’s an impressive feat, especially when you consider there are so few things on that list. The Great Wall of China stretches across thousands of miles, and you can’t really get a sense for just how large it is until you stand on it.
Parts of the wall span across a mountain range in China that give you amazing views of the entire area on top of this man-made structure. It makes it all the more impressive knowing that this wall was made by hand so many centuries ago.
5 Machu Picchu, Peru
Sometimes in life you really have to work for something to appreciate it. Machu Picchu in Peru is found at the end of a long hike, but that’s all worth it once your eyes fall upon its beauty. It is the lost city of the Incas, and there is so much left behind from the 15th-century civilization it makes the history come to life.
These places have to be seen to be believed, and the sooner you go and visit them, the sooner you can find even more amazing places to see.
